PMP Exam – Resource Management – 001

Resource management is the process of planning, scheduling and allocating your resources to maximize efficiency.
And of course get everything done.

During every project weekly status meeting, the PM asks each team member to describe the work they are doing and then assigns new tasks to team members. The length of these meetings has increased sequentially because there are many different activities to assign. This could be happening for all the following reasons except:

  • A. Lack of resource leveling
  • B. Lack of a responsibility assignment matrix
  • C. Lack of a WBS
  • D. Lack of team involvement in project planning

    Correct answer is A.
Resource leveling refers to maintaining exactly the same number of resources on the project for each time period and would not impact the length of meetings.
